Welcome to Heber Valley Camp
The Heber Valley Camp is located in the mountains above the beautiful Heber Valley where the elevation ranges from 7500-10,000 feet. The camp was created to primarily serve the Young Women of the Church. The camp also hosts groups and families when available. The purpose of the camp is to provide a place of refuge where youth groups and families can feel the Spirit of our Lord and deepen their personal relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ.
If you have questions about serving as a Missionary at Heber Valley Camp, please call

2026 YOUTH THEME WALK
Requests for Youth Theme Walk reservations are now being taken!!
The Walk is approximately 1.5 miles long over mountainous terrain. It will take about 90 minutes to complete. Please dress appropriately for a high-altitude climate and weather conditions. We recommend the Walk for persons 8 and older.
The Walk will cost $3.00 per person. Those who cannot walk the entire way can, upon request, be transported via a side-by-side vehicle for $20.00 per person. As you make your request for a reservation, you can indicate if there are persons in your group who have mobility challenges and who will need motorized transportation.
At this time we can only accept payment by check. We apologize for the inconvenience but Church administrators will not allow us to receive payments by any other method.

All youth groups wanting a reservation, will need to get on one of our prospective reservation lists using one of the buttons below.
For more instructions on the reservation process after the form is filled out, read the Reservation Process below.
Reservation Process after Filling out the Prospective Reservation List Form
We help groups make reservations following the order given in the Church Priority List. To see that list click on the link below. No one has priority spots at Heber Valley Camp.
We start calling Stake YW groups about the second week in September since they are the first group that can make a reservation in the church’s priority reservation system and try to call all the other groups before the date the church opens up the system for their group to make a reservation. We usually get 300 to 400 Ward YW requests for a reservation so we may not get every contact from those groups called before their priority date. For extra help getting a Ward youth reservation, see the Small Ward Reservation Suggestions below.
A Youth Committee member will call the group contact to discuss possible dates and places that might work for your group. After a date and camp has been found that works for the group, the committee member will save that spot for that youth group until a reservation can be made with an eligible person. Youth presidency members or bishopric members can make a youth reservation. The Ward YM presidency is the bishopric. YM advisors cannot make a youth reservation. Ward YW camp directors can also make a reservation if they in the church system as Young Women Specialist - Camp Director (190). There is no Stake camp director calling in the church’s system that allows them to make a youth reservation. Youth session reservations need to be made in conjunction with a HVC Youth Committee member. The committee member will release the block on the facilities at the time the reservation is being made by the Stake or Ward person.
If a youth group is making a reservation during the Family & Friends time they will be able to make that reservation my themselves without consulting with a Youth Committee member.
Small Ward Reservation Suggestions
Each cabin has 16 beds (8 bunk beds) and fire regulations allow us to sleep up to an additional 4 people on the floor as long as they don’t use cots. You can still have a sleeping pad and sleeping bag if you’re on the floor. You will need to plan on having at least 2 adult leaders in each cabin.
Half of our camps have 3 cabins with 1 cook station in their campsites. Those campsites have 48 beds and can hold up to 60 people with campers on the floor. (FYI - The youth usually don’t want to sleep with just a couple of youth in a cabin alone. Most times they would prefer to be in a cabin with more youth even if a couple of them have to sleep on the floor. This will provide them with a better bonding experience). If you are a ward that would fill 1 or 2 cabins, it would help if you can find another ward to share with you and fill a 3 cabin campsite (33 to 60 people). The sharing experience usually works better if you find the ward, possibly from your stake. If you are a ward that needs only 1 cabin and you can’t find another ward that needs 1 or 2 cabins and is willing to share a cook station, please be patient. We will be looking for spaces that we can place your ward in but there will be fewer opportunities available this way.
If you are able to find another ward to share the campsite with you, please note both Ward names in the first answer field of the reservation form. Have each ward fill out their own waiting list form with their own info and numbers.
if you have questions, please contact Sister Patti Pitcher at 801-404-1602 or hvcywcampdirector@gmail.com
